The library of Kendriya vidyalaya Mahasamund (C.G.), with its excellent collection of books, periodicals and multimedia and a variety of services, acts as a support and inspiration to the teaching and learning community of the School.

Under the guidance of hon.Principal sir Mr SANJAY KANSAL and the library policy of KVS , The school library provides information and ideas that are fundamental to functioning successfully in today’s information and knowledge-based society. The school library equips students with life-long learning skills and develops the imagination, enabling them to live as responsible citizens. The Kendriya Vidyalaya have a four – fold mission, viz.

1. To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defense and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education.

2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.

3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and

4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of “Indianness” among children
